The Diana Stalder Experience: Episode 3 ” The Changes”

Hello everyone. It’s been a week then since I wrote about my experience for my treatment from Diana Stalder. Well, all I can say is that, I really can say the improvement is shown and that I am very happy with the results. Di naman talaga nakukuha ang result overnight eh. If you want this, magbibigay ka talaga ng oras, effort, pagtitiis at disiplina. For me that’s the basic.

As always as I visit Diana Stalder Megamall, I am looking forward talaga sa mangyayare and never talaga ako nadisappoint. I arrived there 5 minutes before my call time and met again my therapist, Miss Vangee. In no time, we started to catch up and she slightly observed my face and from there alam na alam na nya ang gagawin nya sakin bago pa man kami pumasok sa room which is a solo VIP room. Humiga na ako while she’s preparing the stuff she need for my treatment. Then after mga 3 minutes, my treatment started with cleaning of my face.

Then again, the pricking came along after the cleaning and steaming. As usual, “Tiis Ganda” talaga ako. Madami dami ang nakuha sakin ngayon but most of them are whiteheads na lang. Sinabi nya sakin na “Sir, tiis lang at konti na lang mawawala na talaga”. I believe my therapist. Magaling sya at maayos mag trabaho. In short, may puso sya sa pagtatrabaho at I felt it when she’s doing her job on my face. Along the way, madami din ako natututunan. Well, palagi naman talaga na after every visit ko, madami talaga ako natututunan kay Miss Vangee. Sayang lang di ko pa sya nakukuhaan ng photo para sa blog ko but I promise, makikita nyo din sya. By the way, this is the dirt from my face on my third visit.

I just also notice na less injection yung naexperience ko from this session. Why? It is because less din ang appearance ng pimples and the peeling solution is a big help talaga. Syempre before the treatment ends after the cleaning, Ms. Vangee still applied again the peeling solution but this time 2 coat ang ginawa nya. Mahapdi, tiis ganda ulit pero kaya. Tolerable plus my therapist is really helping to fade the super stingy hot effect of the solution by massaging my face.

Thank you so much DS Megamall for my kit. I love it esp the Tea Tree Soap.

Every visit is a worth visit at Diana Stalder Megamall branch. Thank you sa therapist ko Ms Vangee, Diana Stalder Megamall branch and Miss Dina Dela Paz na sobra bait na talagang she’s keeping in touch and giving tips like a real mom.

The Diana Stalder Experience: Episode 2 “The Acne Cure Facial”

First of all, I named it “Episode 2” because I think this will be a series of progression with the help of my therapist Ms. Vangie of DS SM Megamall as she will monitor and handle my situation when it comes to my face. So after a week after the first session from our Media Pamper Day, I came back after a week but before that, I was check up in Diana Stalder Gateway branch. Yes, ganoon sila ka-concern sa condition ko at sa mga clients nila. Hands-on kumbaga. Still, they recommend na si Ms. Vangie pa din ang mag hahandle sakin and they just gave me some pointers on how to take care of my skin while the days gone by til my next session.

Anyways, before I start this episode, I would like to show you the photo of myself before the actual session and here it is.

Photo ops before my second session.

Pagpasensyahan nyo na po ang nakikita nyong image. Namumula pa ang mukha ko at medyo oily talaga ang skin ko. Masasabi kong malaki ang improvement nito after a week kasi nawala ang pimples kong naka embose. Base on the picture, open pores ako kasi I can say na naalis yung mga dumi sa face ko.

Miss Vangie started cleaning my face. Again, she wore gloves. After the cleaning, she applies some gel with bits. Its a scrub daw. Mabango! And then she massaged it on my face and all I can feel was that I’m so relaxed. Steaming my face was next while a pair of cucumber was on my eyes. I love that part kasi nakakatulog ako saglit. Then the pricking started.

Yes, the pricking “Tiis Ganda” session started! I noticed that Miss Vangie went from my forehead first the to my right cheek going to my chin then cleaning my left side of the face lastly. Masasabi ko mabusisi sya maglinis. Like the first session, ganun pa din ang pain na naencounter ko but all is worth kasi alam ko during the process, malinis talaga sya gumawa.

Then after the pricking, she used the High Frequency again with a white thin net over my face. Relaxed din ako sa process na to although alam ko na namumula pa din ako. So after all, she gave me some solution para di ako mamula. She also told me that I am going to undergo some peeling in days to come kasi she applied a peeling solution na sa totoo lang mahapdi but with my therapist’s hand and care, nawala in no time ang stingy feeling. Sadyang kinaya ko lang talaga ang treatment sakin. Here’s my picture after the session.

Thank you so much Ms. Vangie.

Ayan, so after a week, may session na naman ako kay Ms. Vangie sa Diana Stalder sa Megamall. Babalitaan ko na naman kayo lalo sa peeling ko which is excited na ako. Ciao.

The Diana Stalder Experience

To start with, I am not blessed with a fair skin. I have been trying products that would make my skin less oily and let my pores becomes smaller. In short, tighawatin ako. Been using mild cleansers and toners too. Just recently, early this May, I was attacked by pimples. Starting with my jawline to some breakouts in my cheeks which I hate. I assume it is because of the summer and also stress from work. Still, I have tried products which I bought from Watsons which i think would minimize the growth of the pimples. Last week, I was invited to come to experience a pampering event in Diana Stalder and Ms. D offered me the Acne treatment – Diana Stalder way. Although I tried their Diamond Peel session before which I was impressed, I am confidently excited to try the new treatment and expecting a wonderful result. But before the session, Diana Stalder Megamall branch and Ms. D prepared something for us bloggers the other feature the clinic is proud of – their food. They have fish fillet, pork adobo, salad with dressings and delicious cups of rice which in fact are organic. They also have “pika-pika” for us which is a mixtures of nuts and curls. Moving on to my treatment which is an Acne treatment, the attendant who is an expert to the treatment first clean my face thoroughly. I noticed that she has a gloves, meaning her bare hands didn’t touch my face directly. Then came the steaming after the cleaning and eventually the pricking starts. To be honest when it comes to facial, I love pricking. Nalilinis kasi ang face ko. The blackheads and the whiteheads are instantly removed from my life! LoL While the procedure is taking place, I can feel a lot of hurt and tinitiis ko na lang talaga. The room is so quiet and cozy but in my mind, I was shouting and screaming. Iniisip ko na lang its for my own good, kailangan tiisin kasi gusto ko gumanda, in short – Tiis Ganda. So after the pricking, she told me that there’s a lot of dirt in my face. Pinakita nya sakin at ang dami nga naman talaga. Looking at those dirt, I was so glad they were gone. The next procedure is the High Frequency which I also asked what is for. She stated that it will help to heal the pores to close and to fasten the healing of the pimples. After that, she told me to rest and she will apply an injection. Natakot ako kasi alam ko yung injection na sinasabi nya. After a few minutes, Ate Ning came to my room and cheer me up, telling me things to be not be afraid of the injection. Natuwa ako sa sinabi nya na isipin ko ang sunset and yet it’s effective. I felt the one second pain from it and I took for shots of it in my face. After that, what I felt was wonderful and light. Ang gaan ng mukha ko paglabas ko sa room. Tea_Tree_large Acne_Kit_large To my surprise, Diana Stalder and Ms. D also gave me a maintenance kit with instructions on how to apply those solutions. I am a very satisfied client as I leave the premise. I can feel the concern of the staff to their clients and they really want to know the needs of the people who are experiencing the same situation as mine. Now, I am a certified Diana Stalder believer.

The Maze Runner Review

Thomas wakes up with no memory and is brought into an isolated environment with other teens. Now he must solve the puzzle he had a hand in creating as well as the puzzle that is his identity. The Maze Runner’ marks its run by setting its path ablaze in an explosive heart throbbing start. Right away, it builds its seemingly intriguing and smart story line with a solid opening sequence, throwing us into immediate action and suspense as the first scene depicts the amnesiac teenager, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien), struggling to find his way out of at rattling lift, ascending through a darkness-filled elevator shaft. Emerging to the surface, he finds himself surrounded with multi-ethnic boys who seem not surprised by his arrival. He is immediately welcomed to a commune of teenagers who have been struggling to find their exit from the world they’ve been mysteriously thrown into–The Glade, a forest dominated settlement surrounded by thick concrete walls whose only gate opens to an intricate and ever-changing maze, one the boys suspect to end up to their only way out of that prison-like expanse.

Knowing only his name, curious Thomas joins the league of runners who run into the “griever”-infested maze every morning, to unfold its secrets. His courage is convincing enough to earn him equally-earnest companions to run with him side by side, in his quest to discover the passage out of the Glade. That courage itself, puts growing suspicion to the tough bullying elder, Gally (Will Poulter), whom Thomas immediately finds to be his inevitable and insecure rival. Adding to the tension, is the arrival of the first and only girl in the group, Theresa (Kaya Scodelario), bearing a note that tells she’s the last one.

Acting was okay, especially liked Newt, too bad the others weren’t given as much exposure, Chuck’s actor seemed too young for the role. Character development feels a little rushed, most glaring is with Chuck and Thomas’ relationship. In any case there were enough character moments to make them memorable.

Music was hauntingly good. Visuals were okay as well, given the limited options.
Safe to say the true purpose or soul of the film, for better or worse, is pretty much intact, establish audience curiosity of the world beyond the maze as well as feel compassion towards Thomas and his group.

There are many obvious elements that keep ‘The Maze Runner’ within the confines of the Young-Adult Adaptation genre: it happens in a post-apocalyptic era, young teenagers appear to be the last hope of a controlling dystopian society, and at its center is a young protagonist who would go through all lengths to escape his brutal fate. It is interesting to note though some attempts to set itself apart from the craze. Most notably, it doesn’t have sexually-intuitive characters as it appears to be more focused on the action and adventures of the hero. The mood is also set in a darker tone, adding more excitement and suspense to its already intriguing premise. However, it’s also not easy to shrug off some flaws in the film, flaws that could have been avoided if first time director, Wes Ball, had put equal attention to both the film’s visuals and script. While it boasts stunning visuals, the movie’s overall output is weighed down by some nonsensical cliches, bland dialogues and tiring one-liners, some not fully developed and utilized characters (ex.Theresa) and misplaced highlights, all these pushing the story out of its track. It feels as if it hasn’t maintained, much less taken off, from the level of excitement and suspense it achieved in the first half. Towards the end, it loses grip of its the initial thrill, barely bringing back the intensity with a uninteresting final conflict. In the end it tries to save itself by hinting a promise of an inevitable sequel, one, I can say, it utterly deserves.

Overall, the film is remarkably a level-up in its much crazed-about category. With solid ensemble of young cast showcasing commendably strong performances, an impressive and interesting take on the dystopian genre, and an intriguing plot, ‘The Maze Runner’ rises to the YA Adaptation Chart and sets itself aligned along current blockbuster franchises like The Hunger Games and Divergent. Watch it for the action and interesting premise; just don’t expect any form of resolution until the 3rd installment. 7/10 stars
